Shortcuts
Nokia phones always have had secret codes; since my Nokia 3310 that I had, I knew that you could use *#06# to display IMEI (Serial No.) and I remember that there was one that restarted the phone…
Anyways, Now with the Nokia E61 there are way more secret codes, and especially shortcuts, than ever.
I was going to write a list of these but someone did the task for me (and that’s good): The best list of shortcuts/secret codes is to be found at Techmundo.org you must read it, I know that it’s going to make your life so much easier (and your E61 experience so much more exciting)! Also here is a more visual one at S60Tips.com.
Update: I noticed these aren’t on Techmundo.org:
Calendar: * – toggles between Month, Week, Day, and To-Do views
# – takes you to today
Flash Player: Green Call button – will send the selected file to a compatible device
And one for Word editing programs: hold Car, Shift, Ctrl at the same time will make letters such as é available (if you type the letter in this case e twice or more)

[…] In an effort to organize all the contents of my blog I have moved this post to the Shortcuts page. I hope you don’t mind […]

Hi
I’m desperately seeking a shortcut for Page-Up/Down in the browser. It’s a real pain to keep pushing the little “joy” stick.
Keep up the good work!

Hello. i hope you can help me? How do I check the current firmware version of my Nokia E61? I type in #0000# on the phone’s main screen, but nothing happens. What are the exact steps to finding out the firmware version? Thank you in advance.

nnwin, if you haven’t gotten a solution to your problem one solution would be:
press 8 in the browser (opens the page overview mode) and scroll to the part of the site you want to go to then click inside (Ok) on joy stick.
